Membership Categories
ANLCA Full Membership
For companies doing business in Nigeria and within Nigerian Customs Secure Ports. Also, its core business must be international freight forwarding and/or customs clearing.

Eligible for voting within the Association.
ANLCA Associate Membership
For companies engaged in activities that are closely allied or related to freight forwarding.

ANLCA Associate Members do not have voting rights within the Association.
ANLCA Honorary Membership
Honorary membership may be conferred on individuals in recognition of their services to the association.

Membership Criteria
In line with Section 4(1) of the ANLCA Constitution, membership is strictly reserved for corporate entities that meet the professional, legal, and operational standards set by the Association. These criteria ensure that only qualified, credible, and committed freight forwarding organisations are admitted into ANLCA.
To be eligible for membership, an applicant must:
Be a corporate body duly incorporated under the Companies and Allied Matters Act (CAMA) 2020.
Be licensed by the Nigeria Customs Service as a Customs Agent with a current and valid operational licence.
Be actively engaged in freight forwarding or shipping-related business in Nigeria.
Have its Managing Director/CEO possess a minimum of 3 years’ experience in international freight forwarding and customs brokerage.
Be a company comprised of Nigerian citizens, and legally registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC).
Operate from a recognised office location and maintain a minimum of five (5) employees.
Have completed basic freight forwarding training—with at least two (2) staff having undergone a certified forwarding course from an accredited institute.
Demonstrate the ability to contribute meaningfully to the growth and development of the Association.
Have no representatives, agents, or servants with convictions involving dishonesty or fraud.
Ensure the Managing Director or representative has completed formal education (minimum educational qualification required).
Submit a formal written application through the concerned Chapter Executive Council to the National Headquarters or relevant National Committee.
Pay all registration and annual membership dues as approved by the National Executive Council (NEC).
Uphold the values of unity, integrity, and active support for the goals and objectives of the Association.
Remain in good standing by complying with all membership obligations and ensuring yearly updates to the Association’s membership register.
